Description
The Manufacturing Quality Manager - Aerospace will be responsible for the following:
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality control systems and procedures to meet aerospace standards (e.g., AS9100, NADCAP).
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to resolve quality issues.
- Perform inspections and audits of incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for process optimization and waste reduction.
- Analyze production workflows and recommend enhancements to improve quality and efficiency.
- Lead initiatives to implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Assist in the development and validation of manufacturing processes and procedures.
- Provide technical support for new product introductions and changes to existing designs.
- Participate in design reviews to ensure manufacturability and adherence to quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, customer, and internal quality requirements.
- Maintain accurate records, including inspection reports, process documentation, and quality metrics.
- Prepare and present quality reports to management and customers.
- Actively participate in shop floor activities to address quality and manufacturing challenges.
- Train and mentor production staff on quality standards and best practices.
- Operate and troubleshoot equipment as necessary to support production.
Profile
The ideal Manufacturing Quality Manager - Aerospace will have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in a quality or manufacturing engineering role, preferably within the aerospace industry.
Strong understanding of aerospace quality standards (e.g., AS9100, NADCAP).
Proficiency in using quality tools such as FMEA, SPC, and root cause analysis techniques.
Familiarity with CAD software and statistical analysis tools.
Hands-on experience with manufacturing processes, such as machining, welding, or composites.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Certification in Lean Six Sigma or CQE is a plus.
Job Offer
The successful Manufacturing Quality Manager - Aerospace will be rewarded with the following:
- Base Salary of $70,000-$110,000 depending on experience
- Bonus
