Description

The Assistant Project Manager - Commercial Construction will be responsible for the following:

  • Contributing to the development and execution of goals and strategies to seek new clients, maintain existing client relationships, and focus on growth strategies and market focus.
  • Managing all activities related to the planning, building, budgeting/financial, safety and code compliance of the assigned new construction and development projects
  • Guiding multiple projects and multiple teams operationally in each phase including pre-construction, construction, closeout, and post-construction services
  • Developing and maintaining client and industry relationships reinforcing the company's commitment to continuously addressing client needs and interests
  • Partnering with clients to formulate and develop contract terms, communicating the expectations to the project team
  • Working with established clients to procure future work including preliminary budgeting / estimating and schedule creation
  • Mentoring and coaching Senior PM's and project team to ensure their skills and capabilities are always being developed
  • Promoting a collaborative philosophy with all subcontractors, vendors and project team members

Profile

The successful Assistant Project Manager - Commercial Construction will have:

  • 3+ years of Project Engineer or APM experience
  • Experience on commercial or light industrial projects between $1MM-$50MM preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or relevant degree
  • Applicable Project Management Software experience preferred
  • Developed thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, etc. and their impact on project success
  • Maintains good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with anyone from clients to subcontractors
  • Must be a business-oriented person and act professionally when representing the employer at any level

Job Offer

The Assistant Project Manager - Commercial Construction can expect:

  • Base salary contingent on experience, ranging roughly $85,000-$105,000
