Construction Assistant Project Manager - Manhattan, NY
A top-tier General Contractor in NYC is seeking a driven Assistant Project Manager to support the successful delivery of high-end commercial interior rennovations. With over 30 years of industry experience, this mid-sized GC/CM specializes in high-end commercial interiors including office build-outs, corporate headquarters, and boutique spaces ranging from $1M to $20M. The firm is known for its tight-knit team, low turnover, and a commitment to both project excellence and employee growth.
Description
Assist the Project Manager in coordinating day-to-day project operations
Interface with subcontractors, vendors, and clients
Handle submittals, RFIs, meeting minutes, and document control
Help manage schedules, materials, and labor tracking
Utilize project management platforms (Procore or PlanGrid preferred)
Support site teams with logistics and coordination
Profile
1-5 years of experience in construction project management
Experience in commercial interiors or corporate office rennovations
Strong organizational and communication skills
A proactive attitude and desire to grow within a reputable firm
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture preferred
Polished, professional, and client-facing demeanor
