Description

The position will report directly into the Operations Director, oversee over 30 people, and be responsible for

  • Ensuring safety remains the top priority in all Engineering and Maintenance activities, with strict adherence to safe work practices.
  • Actively participating as a member of the Management Committee.
  • Establishing and maintaining the plant's engineering capabilities to implement product, process, and quality improvement projects at optimal costs while complying with Quality standards and Federal and State regulations.
  • Initiating, implementing, and managing the plant maintenance program using best practices in the chemical manufacturing industry, with a focus on planning, scheduling, and preventive/predictive maintenance.
  • Allocating resources within the Engineering and Maintenance Departments to effectively support plant and project needs.
  • Interfacing with Operations to provide hands-on troubleshooting and identifying, investigating, evaluating, and recommending improved processes and equipment.
  • Managing and overseeing the plant capital expenditure budget, resource allocation, and operating expenses for Engineering and Maintenance.
  • Strengthening and managing the PM program to address the demands of a 24/7 chemical manufacturing operation, driving reliability analysis for continuous improvement, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and cost-effectively.
  • Leading efforts and providing technical expertise to identify, develop, and implement engineering programs, design and install new plant equipment, and upgrade existing assets while eliminating waste.
  • Tracking, analyzing, and improving key maintenance metrics such as asset utilization, maintenance costs, PM compliance, and schedule adherence.
  • Managing the Engineering and Maintenance team's work plans and objectives and conducting regular performance reviews.

  • 10+ years of engineering and maintenance management experience
