Labor Relations Manager
The Manager of Labor Relations will collaborate with the Labor Relations team to ensure that the Museum's relationship with represented employees supports its strategic objectives and upholds strong human resources management principles.

Our client is a famous Museum in New York City that collects, exhibits, preserves, researches, and interprets art of the United States in the broadest global, historical and interdisciplinary contexts.
Description
- Ensure compliance with applicable labor laws, regulations and bargaining agreements and represent company in grievance hearings and arbitration
- Manage effective relationships with union reps, fostering open communication
- Collaborate with human resources and legal departments to develop and implement policies and procedures that align with legal requirements
- Analyze labor relations data to identify areas for improvement; develop proactive strategies
- Develop and deliver programs for managers and supervisors on effective labor law practices including union avoidance strategies and positive employee relations
- Provide expert advice to senior management on best practices and risk management
Profile
- In-depth knowledge of labor laws, regulations, and collective bargaining processes
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Experience working with both Unions and Non-Unions
