K-12 Superintendent
Lead ground-up K-12 school construction projects with a respected Colorado-based builder known for its impact in the public sector. This is a high-ownership Superintendent role where your leadership will shape safe, high-quality learning environments from the ground up.
Client Details
Our client is a Colorado-rooted general contractor with decades of experience building schools, municipal buildings, and civic spaces across the Front Range and beyond. Specializing in K-12 and public work, they are known for deep preconstruction involvement, strong partnerships with school districts, and a commitment to doing work that strengthens communities. The culture is built on teamwork, integrity, and respect for the trades-making it a place where field leaders are truly valued and empowered. With multiple new K-12 projects breaking ground soon, they're seeking a Superintendent who takes pride in building for the next generation.
Description
Lead all field operations for ground-up K-12 school construction projects.
Drive project schedules, site logistics, and day-to-day coordination of all trades.
Ensure quality control, enforce job site safety, and maintain a clean, professional site.
Partner closely with project managers, owners, architects, and inspectors throughout the job.
Manage subcontractor performance, resolve field issues proactively, and keep the job moving efficiently.
Run daily stand-up meetings, track progress, and document project milestones.
Serve as the face of the project on-site, building strong relationships with school representatives and the broader community.
Profile
The ideal candidate has 5-10+ years of experience as a Superintendent, with at least 2+ years focused specifically on K-12 or public works. You're a confident leader on-site with a deep knowledge of ground-up construction, from site prep and utilities to finishes and turnover. You're highly organized, professional, and able to communicate clearly with both trades and clients. Experience with occupied campuses, phased schedules, or CM/GC delivery is a plus. OSHA 30 required; Procore experience preferred.
