We are seeking a Project Superintendent - Education Construction with a General Contractor who focuses on building and construction within DSA and Public works area's. Description
The Project Superintendent - Education Construction role is responsible for:
- Meet weekly and communicate daily with subcontractors to assess project progress, schedule, changes and deliveries. Manage the site through completion.
- Be in compliance of DSA regulations.
- Be on site in Los Angeles
- Proactively identify design deficiencies, schedule concerns, and other project specific issues.
- Attain a thorough and complete understanding of the Prime Contract, all subcontracts, the drawings, and specifications.
- Enforce safety protocols to ensure job site consistently meets or exceeds OSHA safety standards.
- Maintain appropriate documentation throughout the project including change order logs, RFI logs, and submittal lots.
- Communicate daily with owners, tenant reps, construction managers, superintendents and project coordinators to ensure progress toward the common goal is achieved.
Profile
Reporting to the Project Manager, the Project Superintendent - Education Construction would be:
- 5+ years of building and construction experience
- Experience in building DSA k-12 projects and public works.
- Experience using Procore, P6, and Bluebeam
- Proven Building and construction experience
- Relevant Degree within the building and Construction field
- Knowledge of industry methods of scheduling, contracting, cost reporting, safety, and quality
- Ability to understand and implement the technical aspects of construction
- Ability to manage, coach, lead and train subordinates
Job Offer
An offer for the Project Superintendent - Education Construction role would be:
- Salary ranging from $150k- $175k based on experience.
