Description

The Assistant Superintendent - Design Build - DC Metro will be responsible for:

• Assisting the Superintendent with day-to-day site operations
• Coordinating subcontractors, vendors, and field labor
• Ensuring adherence to project schedules and deadlines
• Monitoring job site progress and maintaining quality standards
• Enforcing safety protocols and complying with OSHA regulations
• Supporting the development and updating of project schedules and look-aheads
• Tracking labor, materials, and daily site activity
• Collaborating with project management on drawings, RFIs, and submittals
• Attending and contributing to on-site coordination meetings
• Managing site logistics, material deliveries, and storage planning
• Overseeing construction work to ensure code and spec compliance
• Documenting site activity, incidents, and inspections
• Assisting with punch list creation, tracking, and project closeout

Profile

The Assistant Superintendent - Design Build - DC Metro will have:

• 3-5 years of experience in commercial construction, ideally with a general contractor
• A proven ability to support or independently manage interior or ground-up projects
• Strong knowledge of construction documents, drawings, and specifications
• Familiarity with OSHA standards and a commitment to job site safety
• Experience assisting with scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and field oversight
• A proactive mindset with a drive to identify and solve problems early
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment
