IT Security Architect
We seek an IT Security Architect who is highly motivated and capable of working autonomously to perform architectural analysis and design aligned with the enterprise security strategy. This role will involve collaborating with Enterprise Architecture and Technology teams to develop and recommend solutions that address business requirements while managing security risks and countering emerging threats.

Description
- Work closely with Enterprise Architecture, IT, Compliance, Operations, and other functional teams to deliver secure solutions, ensuring that security is embedded in infrastructure and architecture designs.
- Offer direction and advice on security-related projects to strengthen the overall cybersecurity posture, with a focus on the maturation of the Cloud Security Framework, including assessments of SaaS, IaaS, and virtualization technologies.
- Continuously monitor updates to industry frameworks, regulations (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001/2, NIST), and emerging security threats to assess current controls and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Engage with project and program managers to ensure effective security architecture involvement, while fostering relationships to support governance, vulnerability management, and risk remediation processes.
- Take a proactive approach in delivering against project requirements, ensuring compliance with security controls, identifying control gaps, and developing remediation plans to manage residual risks effectively.
Profile
- Over 5 years of experience in security architecture, with a broad understanding of multiple security domains and a proven ability to collaborate across teams to drive security objectives forward.
- Strong documentation and reporting skills, capable of tailoring technical content for both technical and business audiences.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to efficiently prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- In-depth knowledge of security technologies such as firewalls, IPS, DLP, proxies, SIEM, and endpoint protection software.
- Relevant qualifications, including a degree in a technology-related field and certifications like CISSP, CISA, or GIAC, with expertise in risk management frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST SP 800-53, and industry regulations like SANS and the Cloud Security Alliance CCM.
- AWS experience required
