Sales Account Manager (Northeast)

Our company is a leader in the global packaging industry, specializing in the manufacturing of poly-extrusion and aqueous-coated paper and paperboard products. We provide solutions for various industries, including packaging, building materials, and more. Our products include roll wrap protection, heat-sealable liners, slip sheets, tier sheets, and composite components, among others.
Client Details
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Sales Account Manager to help drive growth by identifying and securing new business opportunities. This role involves proactively reaching out to potential clients, building relationships, and articulating the benefits of our extrusion and lamination products. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a full sales cycle, conducting high-volume cold calls, generating new leads, and ensuring excellent client satisfaction.
Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Prospecting:
- Convert qualified leads into business opportunities.
- Manage CRM systems to track leads, contacts, activities, and opportunities.
- Conduct competitor research and profiling to identify trends.
- Actively seek new business opportunities with both new and existing customers.
- Make cold calls to potential customers across various industries, including industrial and consumer packaging.
- Visit B2B manufacturing operations to present product offerings and solutions tailored to their needs.
- Solution Development:
- Collaborate with R&D and management teams to design custom solutions for customers.
- Leverage market and customer data to build compelling product value propositions.
- Share market insights and expertise to drive product development and positioning.
- Monitor market trends, competitor products, pricing, and sales strategies.
- Understand and communicate technical product requirements to meet customer needs.
- Relationship Management:
- Ensure customer satisfaction by managing the full sales cycle.
- Address and resolve any complaints or issues related to products, quality, or service.
- Work closely with internal teams to enhance the overall customer experience.
- Use sales tools and databases to plan and prepare for sales meetings and proposals.
- Consistently update CRM systems to track forecasts, bookings, and opportunities.
Profile
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Proficiency with CRM systems.
- Strong sales experience, preferably in the coated and laminated product space.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Effective time management and the ability to meet sales goals.
- Results-driven with a focus on achieving targets.
- Strong business acumen and analytical skills.
Experience & Education:
- Minimum of 5 years of sales experience or at least 2 years in the laminated and coated industrial/consumer packaging sector.
- Familiarity with packaging materials such as folding cartons, industrial packaging, and roll packaging.
- Not for New York City Applicants.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
Additional Details:
- This role requires approximately 70% travel.
- A valid driver's license is required for travel.
Compensation: $85k - $140k base + commission
