Quality Manager - Machine Shop - Walpole, MA
The Quality Control Manager is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the effectiveness of the quality management system, including managing certifications and documentation, while driving continuous improvement initiatives. This role involves collaborating with teams to maintain product quality, handle non-conformances, and implement corrective actions to meet industry standards.

Description
Key Responsibilities:
Define and oversee the company's quality vision and strategy, ensuring it aligns with broader organizational goals.
Lead and sustain the Quality Management System (QMS), including compliance with ITAR and ISO standards.
Create, implement, and maintain quality documentation-such as policies, procedures, and work instructions-to meet operational and regulatory expectations. Ensure these resources are accessible and understood throughout the company.
Drive ongoing enhancement of quality processes, including handling corrective/preventive actions, deviations, investigations, change management, complaints, training, vendor oversight, incoming material inspections, validations, and document control systems.
Approve or reject finished goods or components prior to shipment, ensuring compliance with customer requirements.
Participate in or lead the Material Review Board (MRB) and Return Material Authorization (RMA) process for evaluating and handling non-conforming items.
Use performance metrics and tools-like internal audits, management review findings, and customer input-to assess and refine the quality system.
Review and assess corrective/preventive action plans and track their effectiveness in driving long-term improvements.
Support the deployment of strategic initiatives by incorporating customer needs into operational planning and ensuring quality is embedded across all activities.
Collect and analyze customer insights through various channels (e.g., feedback forms, complaint logs, interviews), and use this data to guide improvements in customer satisfaction and product quality.
Maintain comprehensive records for each product throughout its lifecycle-from prototype through full-scale production.
Profile

Education:
Associate's Degree or equivalent experience in a related field.

Experience:
4-6 years of quality management experience within a technical manufacturing environment.
Proven Machine Shop experience, including CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) Programming expertise.

Knowledge:
Strong working knowledge of the current revision of ISO 9001 standards and their application in a manufacturing setting.
