This engineer will need to be experienced and ready to work hands on in a small company
manufacturing environment.

Description

• The successful candidate will be familiar with small shop machines (bench to small mill, drill press, jewelers lathe, etc.).

• The applicant needs to be proficient in Solidworks for modeling new and existing parts.
• Creating step by step visual assembly drawings of the style and methodology utilized while working under the direction of the Manufacturing Engineering Manager.

• Design and creation of fixturing and some prototyping may be required, requiring experience in reading and detailing mechanical drawings. This is a hands on position.

• Writing and executing test protocols will be expected. This includes written test reports and practical analysis of results.

• Creation of processes and introduction of new products into production will be an essential requirement.
• The ability to integrate production personnel in the development, improvement, and implementation of such efforts will be expected.

• Writing and processing change orders within the demands of MDSAP, FDA, and other regulatory bodies as may apply will also be an essential part of the job, training will be provided for the right individual.

• It will be necessary to have good communications skills, both verbal and written.
• Should be able to successfully explain engineering concepts to personnel from the production floor to VP level management in terms that can be understood.

• Multi‐tasking and changing priorities are an important part of the small company environment, tasks may change unexpectedly and may vary day-to-day.

Profile

This position requires a minimum of 5 years experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in a
small company environment. A minimum education level of BS or a comparable level of work experience
is required.
