Chemical Process Engineer - Automotive - Lawrence, MA
The Chemical Process Engineer will assist in the clients wet processes operations for PCBs. My client is seeking a candidate with experience overseeing multiple projects at once, with chemical and process engineering experience.

My client is a well established automotive parts manufacturer that has been steadily growing over the past 40 years, with many well established, local clients. They are looking to add to their team of process engineers as their operations continue to grow with their sales.
Description
You will report directly into the Engineering Manager and be responsible for:
- Leading daily tactical and long-term strategic initiatives alongside the process engineering team.
- Taking on a hands-on managerial/working role, requiring the ability to both lead and support production concurrently.
- Setting analysis and maintenance frequencies for all process equipment and chemistries.
- Supervising daily startup procedures and conducting analysis.
- Performing hands-on line qualification, operating the line, and addressing process and mechanical challenges.
- Developing cleaning protocols for all equipment and chemistries.
- Conducting R&D to support the integration of new materials and technologies.
- Providing support and collaborating with vendors and onsite maintenance teams to address equipment downtime.
- Implementing Statistical Process Control (SPC) and establishing metrics for line and chemistry performance.
- Overseeing the training of engineers and line technicians.
- Executing projects focused on enhancing process and operational efficiency.
Profile
The successful candidate will have:
- Chemical and Process engineering experience
- Circuit board or electroplating experience a plus
- Lean, process improvements knowledge
- Process design experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong problem solving skills
