Sr. Process Engineer | Semiconductor

Our client is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to join our cutting-edge semiconductor manufacturing team in New Jersey. Description

• Process Development & Optimization: Design, develop, and optimize semiconductor fabrication processes to enhance performance, yield, and reliability.
• Equipment & Materials Evaluation: Work with vendors and internal teams to select and qualify new process equipment, materials, and tools.
• Yield & Defect Analysis: Identify root causes of process deviations and implement corrective actions to improve yield and reduce defects.
• Continuous Improvement: Apply Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Statistical Process Control (SPC) methodologies to drive process efficiencies.
• Collaboration: Work closely with R&D, Production, and Quality teams to introduce new technologies and improve existing manufacturing processes.
• Documentation & Compliance: Maintain detailed process documentation, ensure compliance with industry standards (ISO, SEMI, etc.), and support audits as needed.

Profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in semiconductor process engineering, preferably in front-end or back-end fabrication.
• Expertise in lithography, etching, deposition (CVD, PVD), CMP, diffusion, or packaging.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in DOE (Design of Experiments), SPC, and FMEA.
• Hands-on experience with semiconductor fabrication equipment and process monitoring tools.
• Knowledge of semiconductor physics, device fabrication, and cleanroom protocols.
• Strong communication and leadership skills to work cross-functionally in a dynamic environment.
