Regional Controller - Food Manufacturer - Oak Forest, IL
I'm partnered with the CFO at a multi-million dollar leading CPG company. Our client is experiencing immense company growth and operational expansion through key strategic initiatives. Due to this growth, they are now looking to find a Regional Controller to join their team near Oak Forest, IL to take ownership over the FP&A, month-end close, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other daily accounting functions.

Due to this growth, they are now looking to find a Regional Controller to join their team near Oak Forest, IL to take ownership over the FP&A, month-end close, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other daily accounting functions.
Description
Regional Controller Responsibilities:
- Coordinate month-end and year-end closing procedures and perform necessary accruals, adjustments, and reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal controls.
- Coordinate and facilitate internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and addressing audit findings.
- Monitor cash flow, including cash inflows and outflows, and manage working capital. Make recommendations for cash flow optimization and maintain relationships with banks and financial institutions.
- Oversee the general ledger and ensure proper classification and coding of financial transactions. Review and reconcile accounts, resolve discrepancies, and maintain accurate financial records
- Manage both the AR and AP teams to ensure timely and accurate work is completed
Profile
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- 5+ years of experience in Accounting
- Management/Supervisory Experience
- Cost Accounting & Inventory Experience
- CPA or MBA preferred
- Strong understanding of GAAP, SOX, and other regulatory requirements
- Excellent analytic, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Key attention to detail
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
