Senior Project Manager - Multifamily Construction - Willowbrook

Our client is a leading hospitality, multifamily and senior living general contractor, looking for a Project Manager to join their dedicated project management team. You will manage construction projects from concept through final acceptance/warranty period. Project Manager will take full management responsibility for smaller sized projects (under $5 MM) and partial project responsibilities for larger-sized projects (over $5 MM).

Description

The Project Manager will:

  • Run the scheduling from project inception to finish
  • Manage financial aspects including estimating, budgets, and cost reports
  • Conduct weekly meetings and communicate daily with the Superintendent and construction team
  • Maintain a safe work environment
  • Train and develop the project team
  • Manage subcontractor schedules and quality of work
  • Read and interpret plans, proposals and other documentation to create bids.
  • Track and analyze data to reduce gaps between estimates and actual costs.
  • Obtain and track subcontract bids and negotiate budgets.
  • Prepare and present estimate documentation, including gaps in available data.
  • Prepares estimates according to the requirements of multiple delivery systems. Reviews quotes and estimates with the project management team
  • Assists with certain post-bid buyouts.
  • Initiates and participates in meet and greet presentations with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Comprehends contract requirements for diversity compliance

Profile

The Project Manager will have:

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management
  • 5+ years running construction projects from inception to completion
  • Experience overseeing ground-up projects
  • Experience estimating projects
  • Design/Build experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of construction technology and details. Candidate must be extremely proficient reviewing and understanding all construction documents including specifications and drawings
  • Excellent communication skills with various parties including management, subcontractors, consultants, architects, vendors, and clients
