Sr. Project Engineer - Chemical Manufacturing - Winchester, CT
The Senior Project Engineer will be responsible for leading capital improvement projects from concept through completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality and safety standards. This role will drive process and facility enhancements while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support operational growth and efficiency.

Description
This Senior Project Engineer will:
- Lead capital improvement projects from concept through completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
- Develop project scope, feasibility studies, and technical documentation for process and facility upgrades.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and operational efficiencies.
- Oversee contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure safe and compliant project execution.
- Utilize mechanical and chemical engineering expertise to design and optimize systems, including pumps, piping, and automation.
- Manage project costs, schedules, and risk mitigation plans while delivering regular progress updates to leadership.
- Support compliance initiatives and facility safety enhancements.
Profile
A successful Senior Project Engineer should have:
- Mechanical Engineering degree; Chemical Engineering experience a plus
- 7+ years in capital project engineering
- Skilled in pumps, piping, and process systems
- Able to manage projects from concept to commissioning
- Hands-on, team-focused leader with strong communication skills
- Knowledge of safety and compliance standards
