Based in Columbia,MD, my client is a full-service general contractor renowned for successfully delivering fast-track hospitality renovations across the United States. They excel in managing every aspect of hotel renovation projects, including due diligence pricing, pre-construction, model room development, material selection input and sourcing, project construction, interior finishes, and FF&E installation. With over 24 years in business, an annual revenue exceeding $55 million.
Description
My client is seeking a seasoned Project Manager with substantial experience in the construction industry, particularly in high-end interiors and hospitality renovations. This role requires regular travel to project sites along the East Coast and Texas.
- Lead and manage construction projects, ensuring alignment with client objectives and company standards.
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables, collaborating with stakeholders and senior management.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
- Manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effective delivery.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, resolving issues promptly.
- Coordinate and communicate project activities with team members, stakeholders, and clients.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with construction standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Foster a collaborative and positive team environment, promoting continuous improvement.
Profile
The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with a strong background in managing complex projects, from planning through to completion.
- 5+ years of experience in the construction industry.
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction, or a related field (preferred)
- Proven track record as a Project Manager
- Field experience preferred; experience as a trades person or Superintendent is a plus.
- Hospitality experience preferred but not required.
- Experience in high-end interiors is highly desirable.
- Willingness to travel 25% of the time (2-3 days during the week, bi-weekly) with all travel expenses covered.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in project management software such as Procore, Microsoft Project, and Blue beam.
- Assertive, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality work.
