Project Engineer - Light Industrial Construction
Our client is a OH - based and nationally recognized general contractor seeking a Project Engineer with commercial construction experience to join their growing team.

Description
Serve as the main point of contact between architects, subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, inspectors, internal staff, and the owner's representatives to resolve issues with plans and specifications.
Review and make decisions on contract drawings and subcontractor details, ensuring they align with the original estimate.
Manage the overall project budget.
Handle submittals and shop drawings, making sure they meet contract requirements and resolving any discrepancies.
Manage change orders, including reviewing changes to the work, analyzing impacts, getting estimates from subcontractors, securing approvals from the architect and owner, and resolving any disputes.
Oversee the project close-out process, including preparing final documentation like RFIs, warranties, as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and spare parts lists to ensure everything meets contract standards.
Supervise junior staff, including Assistant Engineers, Plan Clerks, and Interns, and provide input on their performance.
Write Scope of Work documents for different trades.
Create and maintain reports on labor, safety, quality control, general conditions, and change orders.
Lead and schedule meetings for subcontractor coordination, preconstruction planning, and submittal reviews.
Profile
- Bachlors Degree preferred
- Minimum 2 year experience
- Microsoft Office Proficiency
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedules. Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.
