Client Details

Our client is a leading manufacturer of high-quality carbon materials, catering to diverse industries such as fuel cells, batteries, etc. Their commitment to innovation and sustainability has positioned them as a key player in the carbon materials market. As we continue to grow, they are seeking a motivated Business Development Manager to drive our expansion in the United States.

Description

  1. Drive and execute strategic business initiatives to support operations in the Ohio facilities.

  2. Stay informed on industry trends, technological advancements, and competitor activities to guide strategic decision-making.

  3. Strengthen alignment between customer strategies and the company's product and development capabilities to maximize sales opportunities.

  4. Clearly communicate value propositions to OEM partners, leveraging expertise in decarbonization solutions and their advantages.

  5. Work closely with cross-functional teams (engineering, operations, finance) to ensure sales strategies align with customer objectives.

  6. Develop and maintain strong relationships with senior executives and procurement teams at OEM partners to foster collaboration and communication.

  7. Contribute to sales forecasting, goal setting, and strategic planning efforts.

  8. Continuously monitor industry trends, market shifts, competitive dynamics, and regulatory updates to refine strategies.

  9. This role is based in Wadsworth, OH, with up to 50% travel required across the Midwest region.

Profile

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, material science, or related fields; an MBA is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in supporting sales and managing large, complex accounts, preferably within advanced materials, aerospace, energy, defense, or greater industrial industries.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to create strategic plans that align with market trends and customer needs.
  • Experience in managing complex programs, long-lead qualifications, and high-value, asset-driven projects.
  • In-depth understanding of new technology development processes, ideally within heat treatment and tolling services.
  • Proven ability to generate, qualify, and close new business opportunities.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage senior executives and key stakeholders confidently.
  • Self-motivated with a strong drive for success and a goal-oriented approach.
  • This position is primarily onsite with travel throughout the greater Ohio region.
  • Willingness to travel to clients and tradeshows as required.
