Project Manager - Commercial Interiors
Client Details
Our client is a leading Chicago‑based general contractor specializing in Commercial Interiors, Workplace & Office Renovations, Retail, and Storefront construction. Known for delivering complex projects in active urban environments, the firm emphasizes teamwork, accountability, and long‑term client relationships.Description
- Manage projects from preconstruction through final closeout
- Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, and work plans
- Oversee subcontractor procurement, contracts, and performance
- Lead client, architect, and internal project meetings
- Manage RFIs, submittals, and change orders
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and quality requirements
- Mentor Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager in commercial construction
- Strong background in commercial interiors, office/workplace, retail, or storefront projects
- Proficiency with Procore and scheduling/cost management tools
- Excellent client‑facing and leadership skills
