Commercial Construction Estimator - Cape Cod, MA
Up and coming General Contractor based on Cape Cod and specializing in Public, Private, Commercial, and Multifamily-Residential projects up to $20M actively looking to bring on an experienced Construction Estimator to support their team's continued growth and commitment to excellence.

Description
- Analyzing Project Documents: Reviewing blueprints, specifications, and other construction documents to understand project scope and requirements.
- Estimating Costs: Calculating the cost of labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors for each phase of the project.
- Preparing Bids: Developing and submitting competitive bids to clients, often involving detailed cost breakdowns and proposals.
- Quantity Takeoffs: Accurately measuring and calculating quantities of materials needed for the project.
- Subcontractor Management: Soliciting and evaluating bids from subcontractors, and managing their work during the project.
- Cost Control: Monitoring project costs throughout the construction process and identifying potential cost overruns.
- Communication: Communicating with clients, project managers, architects, and subcontractors to provide updates, clarify details, and resolve issues.
- Risk Assessment: Identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies to minimize cost and schedule impacts.
- Software Proficiency: Utilizing construction estimating software (bluebeam, excel, on-screen takeoff) and other relevant tools to create accurate estimates.
- Staying Updated: Keeping abreast of industry trends, material prices, and labor.
- Report directly to the President!
Profile
- 7-10 years of previous relevant experience as a Construction Estimator perferably has well-rounded project background in Conceptual Estimating.
- Bachelor's Degree - ideally in Construction Management or a related field.
- Proficient with Bluebeam, Excel (all Mircosoft Applications), and OnScreen Takeoff softwares.
- Motivated 'go-getter' and a team player.
