Description

Director of Safety - Norton, MA - $200k - Responsibilities

• Lead and develop safety strategies across all project sites to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
• Conduct Toolbox Talks and provide consistent safety training to the workforce, ensuring that safety measures are communicated effectively and adhered to at all times.
• Design, implement, and optimize safety systems, processes, and checklists for better organization and adherence to safety protocols.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure safety concerns are addressed proactively, and solutions are implemented in real-time.
• Use online safety tools (Procore, Playocity) to monitor and improve safety operations across various sites, and train staff on their usage.
• Some national travel (1-2 site visits per month) is required, with travel and accommodation covered by the company.

Profile

Director of Safety - Norton, MA - $200k - Will have

• 5+ years of experience in a safety management role, ideally within life sciences, MEP, manufacturing, or cleanroom environments.
• Expertise in conducting Toolbox Talks and other safety training methods to foster a culture of safety.
• Highly organized with a strong ability to create and maintain detailed safety systems and checklists.
• Proficient in utilizing online safety platforms such as Procore and Playocity (experience with Open Space is a plus).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to lead and motivate teams, promote safety awareness, and engage all levels of employees.
