EHS Group Lead
This EHS Group Lead role is responsible for the daily leadership of environmental, health, and safety operations, with a primary focus on ensuring regulatory compliance and implementing Lean-based waste reduction strategies. The position involves supervising EHS technicians, managing critical environmental reporting, overseeing safety protocols, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the facility.

Description
The key responsibilities of the EHS Lead:
- Ensuring comprehensive environmental compliance and timely regulatory reporting (including RCRA, CWA, CAA, EPCRA, SPCC) and maintaining audit-ready documentation.
- Overseeing health and safety operations, including OSHA compliance, regular safety inspections, incident investigation, and workers' compensation support.
- Providing daily leadership, mentorship, and training to EHS Technicians, fostering consistent adherence to environmental and safety protocols.
- Driving process improvement initiatives using Lean methodologies to enhance pollution prevention, waste minimization, and overall operational efficiency.
- Serving as a key EHS advisor by collaborating with operational teams and facility leadership to ensure continuous improvement and adherence to standards.
Profile
What makes you a good fit:
- Possesses a Bachelor's degree (preferred) in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, Safety, or a related field.
- Brings 3+ years of relevant EHS experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting, demonstrating strong working knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations (RCRA, CWA, CAA, EPCRA, SPCC) and OSHA standards.
- Proven ability to effectively lead, mentor, and develop EHS teams, coupled with excellent communication skills to interact confidently across all organizational levels and with external agencies.
- A proactive problem-solver with a commitment to continuous improvement, skilled in root cause analysis, and ideally experienced with Lean, 5S, or Kaizen methodologies.
