This is an exciting opportunity for an Estimator to join a growing team in the general contracting industry, specifically within the concrete department. The role is based in Aurora and focuses on delivering accurate cost estimates and project evaluations for concrete frame construction projects.

Description

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for concrete frame construction projects.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to ensure accurate project evaluations.
• Analyze project plans, specifications, and proposals to determine project requirements.
• Identify and evaluate potential risks and propose cost-effective solutions.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and pricing.
• Negotiate with vendors and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing.
• Assist in preparing and submitting bids and proposals to potential clients.
• Provide ongoing cost analysis and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.

Profile

A successful Estimator should have:

• Experience in estimating within the construction industry, particularly concrete frame projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
