Process Engineer - Foundry - Nashua, NH
My client is seeking a Process Engineer with expertise in foundry technology, responsible for developing and optimizing processes to produce high-performance metal products, ensuring they meet stringent quality and performance standards

Description
This role will report directly into the Engineering Manager and be responsible for
- Overseeing and optimizing front-end processes, including casting, molding, and core-making operations.
- Developing and implementing process improvements to enhance quality, efficiency, and production yield.
- Monitoring and adjusting parameters for key front-end equipment to ensure consistent product quality.
- Collaborating with metallurgy and quality control teams to address and prevent defects in casting and mold operations.
- Analyzing production data and applying statistical process control (SPC) to identify trends and troubleshoot issues.
- Designing and conducting experiments to test process modifications and validate new methods.
- Developing and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs) for front-end processes.
- Training and supporting operators on best practices and new process changes.
- Ensuring compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations throughout production.
- Collaborating with maintenance and engineering teams to maintain and improve equipment reliability.
Profile
The successful candidate will have
- 5+ years of process development experience
- Metals manufacturing experience
- Foundry / Metallurgy experience a plus
- Heat treatment knowledge
- Injection Molding knowledge a plus
- Project management skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
