Healthcare Project Manager - Syosset

We are actively seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee healthcare construction projects across Nassau County and the surrounding region. This role is ideal for a construction leader who thrives in high-stakes environments and understands the critical nature of healthcare infrastructure, scheduling, and compliance.

Their work includes surgical suites, imaging centers, ambulatory care facilities, labs, and full hospital renovations. Description

  • Lead all phases of healthcare construction projects from preconstruction through closeout

  • Serve as primary point of contact with hospital clients, facilities teams, architects, and consultants

  • Oversee project budgets, schedules, procurement, and all project documentation

  • Ensure compliance with all health system protocols, AHJ standards, DOH regulations, and infection control requirements

  • Manage and mentor Assistant PMs and field teams, ensuring coordination with Superintendents and subcontractors

  • Review submittals, manage RFIs, and track change orders in a timely, organized fashion

  • Conduct regular OAC meetings, prepare project reports, and maintain client satisfaction

  • Assist in preconstruction planning, estimates, and logistics for healthcare-specific scopes (MEP, med gas, shielding, etc.)

Profile

10+ years of healthcare project management experience. Must have deep understanding of healthcare codes, infrastructure, and stakeholder coordination.

  • 10-15+ years of experience managing healthcare or life sciences construction projects

  • Deep knowledge of New York State healthcare regulations, permitting, and inspections

  • Experience with hospital renovations and occupied environments (ICRA, phasing, shutdown coordination, etc.)

  • Exceptional client-facing communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Strong technical knowledge of healthcare-specific systems and infrastructure (MEP, med gas, clean rooms, etc.)

  • Proficiency in construction management software (Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam)

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred

  • OSHA 30, ICRA certification, and/or CHC (Certified Healthcare Constructor) are strong pluses
