Construction Superintendent
A well-established general contractor is seeking a Superintendent to oversee interior renovation projects, including schools, transit, and occupied affordable housing. This role ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet safety and quality standards.
Client Details
This NYC-based general contracting firm specializes in interior renovations for government agencies and private clients. With a team of 40-50 employees, they handle projects from $500K to $25M, ensuring high-quality execution across various sectors.
Description
- Oversee on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with project plans and specifications.
- Supervise subcontractors and laborers, maintaining productivity and efficiency.
- Enforce safety protocols and quality control measures to meet industry standards.
- Coordinate with project managers, clients, and inspectors to ensure smooth project execution.
- Maintain daily logs, progress reports, and address any on-site challenges proactively.
Profile
- 7+ years of superintendent experience in interior renovations (schools, transit, occupied housing preferred).
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills to manage crews and subcontractors.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schedules, and project documentation.
- Experience with public agency projects (SCA, MTA, affordable housing) is a plus.
