Director of Global Technical Field Service

My client is seeking a new addition to lead their Field Service Engineering and Technical Services Team's Globally. This individual will develop and oversee a comprehensive service strategy to strategically align with my client's business goals and innovations. They will have ownership over customer bases in North America, EMEA, and other regions. This will be a terrific opportunity to make an impact through strategic thinking and coaching/development.

Client Details

My client is global provider of specialized products and services for assisted reproductive technology (ART) procedures. Their offerings include culture media and cryopreservation media designed for use in fertility treatments and in vitro fertilization (IVF) procedures. These products encompass sperm freezing mediums, IVF media, and cryoprotectants, all of which are essential for preserving gametes and embryos during ART.

Description

They key responsibilities of the Director of Global Field Engineering and Technical Services are:

• Develop, Implement, and Execute a global service strategy aligned with business objectives.

• Build and lead a global team of field service engineers and technical support specialists.

• Collaborate with cross-functional leadership in Product Development, Quality, Regulatory, and Sales.

• Oversee global service delivery including installation, maintenance, calibration, and technical troubleshooting.

• Define and implement KPIs to track service performance and customer satisfaction.

• Ensure compliance with global regulatory standards (FDA, CE, ISO, etc.).

• Serve as the technical escalation point for critical accounts and high-stakes support issues.

• Develop strategic partnerships with global clinics and labs to enhance product support and usability.

• Lead the implementation of a customer-first service model and training programs for end users.

Profile

The successful Director of Global Field Engineering and Technical Services will have:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, or related technical field
• 10+ years of leadership in technical service or field engineering roles
• Experience will oversight of a global team
• MUST have experience within the Medical Device Industry
• Ability to travel domestically and globally (up to 50%).
