Superintendent - Academic Projects Up To $50M In Boston!

Looking for a strong Project Manager to join a well established GC with top notch company culture to lead projects in renovation and adaptive reuse projects up to $25M. This candidate will be responsible for managing construction projects, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. They collaborate with subcontractors, communicate with project teams, and uphold quality standards to achieve successful project outcomes.

Description

The Construction Superintendent will be responsible for:

  • Responsible for general supporting contract, subcontract documents, drawings and specifications under direction from the Superintendent.
  • Check and verify subcontractor layout to ensure compliance with established control, line and grade.
  • Monitor production and record rates in logbook to be used for future scheduling.
  • Maintain a set of production documents and update daily so an accurate picture of work in place is consistently maintained.
  • Report any and all field conditions and issues to the Superintendent.
  • Monitor job progress on-site, checking all work to ensure compliance with contract documents and the Quality Control Program.
  • Work with Superintendent to develop and carry out the plan and schedule for project work.
  • Plan and prepare documentation to facilitate the close out process at the discretion of the Superintendent.
  • Work with and coach field engineers on the project to facilitate their skills development.

Profile

In return for a generous compensation package, the successful candidates will possess the following:

  • 5-7+ years years of Superintendent experience (running projects start to finish as the lead)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or related preferred (or relevant experience)
  • Has a valid MA-CSL
  • Project experience in one of their core markets: healthcare, life science or higher education
  • Experience working locally around Boston preferred
  • Ability to communicate with subcontractors and other project team members
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment
  • Ability to mulitask
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
