Senior Legal Assistant (Albany)
A well-established law firm with a strong presence in the Northeast is seeking a highly organized and experienced Senior Legal Assistant to support attorneys within its Healthcare Practice Group. This is a full-time, onsite role based in Albany, ideal for a professional with deep knowledge of legal administrative processes and a background in healthcare law that brings a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, and initiative to the role.

Description
- Provide high-level administrative and legal support to attorneys focused in healthcare law, including regulatory compliance, litigation, and transactional matters.
- Prepare, revise, and format legal documents, including pleadings, correspondence, agreements, and memoranda.
- Assist with court filings (electronic and traditional), calendaring deadlines, and managing docketing requirements.
- Coordinate scheduling of meetings, court appearances, and client calls, maintaining attorney calendars with accuracy and efficiency.
- Organize and maintain electronic and physical client files in compliance with firm protocols.
- Track time entry and assist with monthly billing and expense reporting.
- Liaise with clients, courts, and government agencies professionally and promptly.
- Conduct light legal research and assist with document review or redlining as needed.
Profile
- Minimum of 5+ years of legal assistant experience, with at least 2 years supporting a healthcare practice or handling healthcare-related legal matters.
- Strong understanding of legal procedures, terminology, and healthcare regulatory frameworks.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, document management systems, and e-filing platforms (both state and federal).
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritize competing deadlines and work both independently and collaboratively.
- Professional demeanor and ability to handle sensitive client information with discretion.
