Teams manage multiple projects simultaneously, with assistant project managers and project managers overseeing several jobs at different stages, balancing office responsibilities with regular site visits. Description
The Superintendent - Corporate Interiors - DMV will be responsible for:
- Overseeing day-to-day on-site construction activities across corporate interiors projects throughout the DMV region
- Managing and coordinating subcontractors to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and to a high standard
- Enforcing site safety protocols and maintaining compliance with all company and regulatory requirements
- Reviewing drawings and project plans to identify and resolve conflicts prior to and during construction
- Developing and maintaining project schedules, sequencing work effectively across multiple trades
- Coordinating closely with Project Managers, architects, engineers, and clients to ensure smooth project execution
- Leading site meetings, tracking progress against milestones, and proactively addressing any delays or issues
- Managing RFIs, submittals, and field documentation to ensure clear communication between field and office teams
- Driving quality control and ensuring all work meets project specifications and client expectations
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders
- Managing projects in occupied, fast-paced environments typical of corporate interiors work
Profile
The Superintendent - Corporate Interiors - DMV will have:
- 5+ years of hands-on construction experience, with a strong focus on corporate interiors projects
- Proven experience managing commercial interiors projects such as office, retail, or tenant fit-outs
- Strong field leadership skills, with the ability to manage subcontractors and drive project execution
- Experience working in active or occupied environments with tight timelines
- Solid understanding of construction drawings, scheduling, and sequencing across multiple trades
- Experience managing RFIs, submittals, and field coordination between site and project teams
- Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with project managers, clients, and design teams
- Working knowledge of site safety requirements and the ability to enforce safety standards
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain project momentum in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness and ability to commute to job sites across the DMV region
- Proficiency in basic construction software and tools (e.g., scheduling platforms, Microsoft Office)
Job Offer
The Superintendent - Corporate Interiors - DMV will receive:
- Base salary ranging from $100K - $125K, depending on experience
