Project Manager - K-12 Construction

$120,000 - $140,000/Year

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead ground-up K-12 construction projects in the Fort Lauderdale area. This role will oversee all phases of delivery, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Our client is a well-established general contractor with a strong presence across South Florida, known for delivering high-quality public and education projects. They have a consistent pipeline of K-12 work and a reputation for collaborative partnerships with school districts, architects, and consultants.

Description

  • Manage ground-up K-12 construction projects from preconstruction through closeout

  • Oversee project budgets, schedules, contracts, and cost controls

  • Coordinate with owners, school districts, architects, engineers, and subcontractors

  • Lead project meetings and provide regular progress reporting to internal and external stakeholders

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality control, and local/state regulations

  • Review and approve submittals, RFIs, change orders, and pay applications

Profile

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager on ground-up K-12 construction projects

  • Strong understanding of public-sector construction processes and school district requirements

  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and drive projects to successful completion

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills

  • Experience working in South Florida is strongly preferred
