Maintenance Engineer / Technician - Plastics - Leominster, MA
My client is looking for a Maintenance Engineer / Technician, where you'll play a key role in keeping production running smoothly! You'll be hands-on with cutting-edge injection molding machinery, robotics, material handling systems, and more - installing, maintaining, and optimizing equipment to ensure peak performance.

As one of the largest North American manufacturers of machined plastic products and assemblies, they specialize in multi-axis plastic machining, metal-to-plastic conversions, and design for manufacturability.
Description
In this role you will report to the Maintenance Manager and be responsible for:
Assisting with the setup and integration of new equipment, including injection molding machines, auxiliary systems, and robotics.
Diagnosing and resolving issues with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and vacuum systems to ensure optimal performance.
Calibrating and testing components or equipment using hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices, following manufacturer guidelines.
Repairing and adjusting pick-and-place tooling, mechanical systems, and controls to maintain precise operation.
Handling tasks related to material movement, automation, and robotics.
Performing routine preventive maintenance as scheduled and directed by the project manager.
Carrying out calibration and re-qualification procedures for equipment on a regular basis.
Collaborating with process technicians and supervisors during equipment setup and removal.
Profile
A successful candidate will have:
- Trade school or Associate's degree
- 5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting
- Injection molding machinery maintaining and repairing skills
- Material handling, automation, and/or robotics equipment familiarity
- Troubleshooting experience
