Estimator - Miami, FL

• Estimator bidding on up to 10 projects at once in commercial and residential sector up to $2-3M
• Running preconstruction department for small/ mid size GC.

Client Details

This Miami, FL based firm has been in the industry for 30+ years as a Design Build/ Construction Management GC/ Architectural firm. They have a variety of work in both the commercial and single family residential space with a number of repeat clients. Their projects are typically $1-3M in value, both new and buildout construction of single family homes, retail, offices, warehouses (tilt wall), medical facilities, and light industrial work. They are looking for an Estimator to join their growing office who will lead the preconstruction team.

Description

• Lead the preconstruction process and handle all estimating responsibilities
• Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs, budgets, and competitive bids for projects ranging from $1M to $3M
• Manage multiple bids at once while ensuring deadlines are met
• Source and negotiate pricing with subcontractors and suppliers
• Collaborate with clients, project managers, and leadership to develop winning proposals

Profile

• 3+ years of estimating experience in commercial and residential construction
• Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and project budgeting
• Ability to work independently and manage the preconstruction process from start to finish
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
