Estimating Engineer - Commercial - Louisville
This position works directly with senior estimators, estimators and project managers by performing quantity takeoffs, assisting with each step of the RFQ process, and evaluating cost scenarios to establish well informed baselines for construction estimates.

Description
Read and outline project drawings, specifications, and ancillary bid documents
• Perform quantity takeoffs
• Develop requests for quotation packages for vendors and subcontractors
• Identify and solicit requests for quotations to vendors and subcontractors
• Support distribution of bid materials to stakeholders
• Evaluate vendor and subcontractor proposals
• Collaborate with estimating and project management teams
• Assist Project Managers in cost evaluations.
• Assist in closing out bids.
• Assist with internal process enhancement initiatives
• All other duties as assigned
Profile
• 1 year of construction or engineering experience
• Bachelor's degree
• Excellent verbal and nonverbal communication skills
• Ability to evaluate cost scenarios
• Maintain organized and complete files
• Strong attention to detail
• Utilize time effectively and efficiently
• Must have proficiency in: Word, Excel, Outlook, and TEAMS.
