Assistant Project Manager
As an Assistant Project Manager, you will play a key role in supporting project teams, ensuring smooth execution of affordable housing projects from inception to completion. Working closely with Project Managers, site teams, and subcontractors, you'll be involved in planning, budgeting, scheduling, and managing project documentation.

My client is a leading General Contractor in Brooklyn specializing in Affordable Housing is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join their growing team. With a focus on New Construction and rehab projects under the PACT (Permanent Affordability Commitment Together) program, this is an exciting opportunity to contribute to meaningful work that impacts local communities.
Description
- Assist in the coordination and management of affordable housing construction projects, including new construction and rehabilitation projects under the PACT program.
- Support the Project Manager in creating and maintaining project schedules, budgets, and progress reports.
- Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and other project documentation.
- Communicate with subcontractors, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure project timelines and deliverables are met.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Provide support in problem-solving and identifying opportunities for efficiency on projects.
Profile
- 2+ years of experience as an Assistant Project Manager or a related role, preferably with a contractor specializing in Affordable Housing.
- Familiarity with NYCHA projects, PACT program, HPD, or other Affordable Housing initiatives is a strong plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, scheduling software (e.g., MS Project, Procore), and document control.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
