Senior Civil Estimator - Boston, MA - $180k
A well-established construction firm with a strong presence in the Greater Boston area is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join its growing Civil Department. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with 10-15+ years of experience in civil estimating, including a strong background in electrical transmission, distribution, site improvements, roadways, and utilities.

This Boston-based construction firm is a well-respected, mid-sized general contractor known for its strong presence in the healthcare, life science, and academic sectors. With over 100 employees and annual revenue between $100M-$150M, the company has built a reputation for delivering complex projects in highly sensitive, occupied environments. Its portfolio includes work for top-tier institutions such as major hospitals, universities, and research facilities throughout Downtown Boston and the surrounding suburbs.
The organization offers a full suite of services including design-build, general contracting, construction management, and BIM/virtual design. Projects typically range from ground-up construction to intricate renovations and buildouts, often valued up to $35M.
Description
Senior Civil Estimator - Boston, MA - $180k - Responsibilities
Prepare detailed cost estimates for a variety of civil construction projects, primarily in the $1M-$10M range, with some projects reaching up to $40M
Lead and coordinate preconstruction efforts including quantity takeoffs, subcontractor pricing, and proposal development
Collaborate with operations and field teams to ensure alignment on scope and pricing
Work closely with clients, such as EverSource, to develop budgets and winning proposals
Utilize HCSS software for estimating and cost analysis
Mentor and oversee two direct reports within the estimating team
Interface regularly with senior leadership, reporting directly to the VP of the Civil Department
