Sales Manager - Job Shop / Fabrication Shop - Chicago
This is a growth position for a growing metal fabrication shop. There is are retirement and you will be taking over all accounts, with this role's focus being new business growth

Products plated by the company are integral to some of the manufacturing industry's most complex assemblies. These finishes are used in safety-critical devices such as ABS modules, drive-by-wire controls, commercial and military aircraft systems, and implantable medical devices.

Description
- Develop and execute sales strategies to expand the client base within the precision plating sector.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure client needs are met with tailored solutions.
- Identify market trends and opportunities to drive revenue growth.
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations to key stakeholders.
- Negotiate contracts and close deals to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions in CRM tools.
- Represent the company at industry events and trade shows to enhance brand visibility.

- Engage directly with customers on business management, problem resolution, and sales strategy topics
- Maintain a professional, committed, and eager-to-learn attitude
- Participate in cross-department training with engineers, estimators, customer service representatives, and other team members during the first few months
- Leverage an understanding of technical engineering concepts to contribute effectively in a highly technical environment
Profile
- Bachelor's degree preferred; engineering or technical background a plus
- Maintain regular contact with clients and key partners
- Learn and communicate the fundamentals of various electroplating processes
- Manage expenses to optimize territory coverage
- Moderate travel required
- Outgoing personality with the ability to develop and maintain relationships
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented and highly organized
- Strong negotiation skills
- Proficient with general computer applications
Job Offer
- $80,000 - $90,000 base + 5% commission on all base sales
- Uncapped bonus and commisison potential!
- Be part of a small, privately owned company with direct access to leadership
- Fulltime onsite position in Chicago, IL with roughly 40-50% travel to customers
