The Value Stream Manager will oversee and lead operations for designated value streams at the Newport facility, focusing on lean manufacturing, process improvement, and team development. Description





  • Empower team members to make meaningful contributions that positively impact both their growth and the company's success.

  • Create and maintain standardized work practices that promote consistency, ensure quality, and reveal areas for continuous improvement.

  • Use data-driven, analytical approaches to identify root causes of production disruptions and implement both immediate and long-term corrective actions.

  • Oversee production operations across multiple product lines to optimize resource use while meeting safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.

  • Review and act on key production metrics (Lean Operating Systems) to drive improvements in all performance areas.

  • Address staffing requirements and ensure team members are properly trained and supported.

  • Lead efforts to maintain and enhance a safe work environment.

  • Provide clear, constructive feedback and be receptive to input from others.

  • Collaborate with teams to prioritize initiatives and drive aligned action.

  • Maintain open and effective communication across all departments.

  • Practice and coach Humble Inquiry techniques to foster respectful and open dialogue.

  • Define and implement a shared vision, strategic direction, and unified policies.

  • Create and execute plans to meet current and future business demands.

  • Support and drive initiatives related to New Product Development.

  • Provide and receive actionable feedback to enhance collaboration.

  • Align project priorities with organizational goals.

  • Promote transparent and consistent communication across the company.

  • Apply and mentor others in Humble Inquiry to strengthen relationships and engagement.



Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related STEM field, with experience in both manufacturing engineering and operational leadership.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex systems, make quick and logical decisions under pressure, and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Highly motivated, organized, detail-focused, and creative, with strong problem-solving capabilities.

  • Effective in both verbal and written communication.

  • Capable of planning, prioritizing, and executing tasks efficiently.

  • Excellent time management skills; able to juggle multiple projects and key responsibilities simultaneously.

  • Skilled at adapting to changing schedules and managing workloads across shifting priorities.

  • Basic understanding of firearm safety and the operational functions of different firearm types.

  • Comfortable working across all organizational levels to support and drive companywide initiatives and improvements.
