The Manufacturing Engineer will play a crucial role in our client's industrial equipment manufacturing plant in the northern Chicago suburbs. The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for improving operational efficiency and developing new and innovative manufacturing processes on-site.

Our client is a rapidly-growing branch of a worldwide manufacturing company, specializing in the manufacturing of precision machined components used by other manufacturers. They have a niche product that falls in the 'workholding' umbrella. Located in the northern suburbs of Chicago, this division is set for a rapid expansion, as the company is investing heavily into the future of the site.

Description

Key duties and responsibilities will include:

• Developing, evaluating, and improving manufacturing methods.
• Programming new, custom projects (in MasterCAM).
• Assisting in the design and improvement of production facilities.
• Implementing lean manufacturing techniques to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
• Coordinating with design engineering and other departments to resolve manufacturing problems.
• Maintaining detailed documentation of all manufacturing processes.
• Ensuring compliance with industry safety and production standards.
• Providing training and guidance to manufacturing staff as needed.

Profile

The successful applicant will possess the following:

• A Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software and other engineering tools.
