Remote Cloud Java Software Architect - Up to $230k

The Java Software Architect will work on an extremely talented software engineering team ensuring that your skills and experience can positively contribute to the continuous rapid growth of the organization. The client is looking for a Software Architect who is a Java expert with an extensive cloud-native architecture background, GCP experience and CI/CD pipeline expertise to help lead the team and also communicate with business leaders at all levels.

Description

The successful Java Software Architect candidate will be responsible for:

• Shaping the architecture and design of the Java based SaaS application for the organization
• Leading and mentoring an engineering team to ensure best practices
• Working with stakeholders at all levels and helping lead the strategic direction of the software engineering team
• Being hands on with code - this is not a full-time coding position but you must be comfortable coding whenever necessary
• Design and implement cloud-native solutions, leveraging Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Stay up to date with cloud computing and SaaS development

Profile

The successful Java Software Architect candidate will have:

• BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• 15+ years of professional experience
• 3+ years in an architectural or technical leadership role.
• Extensive Java experience
• Cloud-Native Architecture experience
• CI/CD pipeline experience
• Extensive Cloud experience (Preferably GCP but Azure or AWS is fine)
• Experience communication skills and be confident and able to communicate with stakeholders at all levels to help lead the strategic direction of the software engineering team
