Interim Controller
The Controller will oversee all accounting and financial operations for a well-established construction organization. This role will be central to managing financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring the financial health of the company and its projects. The Controller will work directly with project management and executive leadership, providing key financial insights and guidance. This is a temp-to-hire position, requiring five days on-site.

Description
- Cash Management & Bank Reconciliations: Oversee daily cash flow and ensure bank accounts are reconciled accurately.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate financial reports and provide management with financial analysis, including updates on job costs, budget, and forecasts.
- Tax Administration & Reporting: Administer tax contributions, filings, and audits.
- Fixed Asset Management: Manage equipment depreciation, capital expenditures, and asset accounting.
- Internal Controls: Ensure adherence to internal control procedures and maintain appropriate IT security measures.
- Audit Preparation: Prepare audit schedules for the company and related entities.
- Labor Union & Compliance Reporting: Oversee labor union reporting and ensure compliance with labor-related audits.
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage the accounting team (Payroll, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable Coordinators), ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
- Job Status Reporting: Provide timely and accurate financial updates to the COO on a monthly basis.
- Relationship Management: Cultivate strong relationships within the company and with external stakeholders.
- Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in all financial operations.
Profile
- Strong leadership experience managing an accounting team or finance professionals.
- Expertise in accounting principles, tax administration, and audit preparation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex financial data.
- Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate with project managers, senior leadership, and external auditors.
- Experience in maintaining internal controls and ensuring the security of financial systems.
- Ability to resolve accounting issues swiftly and ensure the financial health of the organization.
