The Senior Superintendent will serve as the on-site leader for a variety of large-scale base building projects ($30M - $200M+), overseeing all field operations and acting as a key partner to owners and architects throughout every phase of construction. Responsible for ensuring safety, quality, scope compliance, and oversee trade partners, logistics planning, and scheduling to meet all project turnover requirements.

Description

  • Oversee all day‑to‑day field operations for large-scale base building projects ($30M - $200M+) from groundbreaking through commissioning and turnover.
  • Project types may include but are not limited to: commercial, multi-family, health care, education
  • Lead site planning, sequencing, and scheduling to ensure critical milestones and project deadlines are met.
  • Conduct constructability reviews and manage development of site logistics plans, baseline schedules, and phasing strategies.
  • Enforce a culture of safety excellence and ensure full compliance with company, local, and federal safety standards.
  • Maintain rigorous quality control practices to ensure all work meets or exceeds project specifications and industry standards.
  • Evaluate site conditions regularly and proactively address issues that may impact safety, schedule, or quality.
  • Build strong, trusted working relationships with owners, architects, engineers, and commissioning teams.
  • Manage, coordinate, and hold trade partners accountable to scope, schedule commitments, and performance expectations.
  • Lead on-site meetings, resolve field issues, and maintain clear communication among all project stakeholders.
  • Monitor project progress, manpower needs, and productivity metrics to ensure alignment with the project plan.
  • Provide consistent reporting on schedule status, field activities, risks, and mitigation plans.
  • Support commissioning activities and ensure turnover requirements are met on time and with precision.

Profile

  • Degree in Construction Management or equivalent work experience
  • 10+ years of experience in construction field management/supervision
  • General Contracting background
  • Proven success managing large, complex, schedule-intensive projects from start to finish
  • Must have experience overseeing base building projects in excess of $30M
  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead a team
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills with the ability to thrive under pressure
  • OSHA 30 certification
