Financial Services, Mid-Level Associate
A mid‑level associate role within a Financial Services practice based in Washington, DC. The position focuses on advising financial institutions and fintech clients on regulatory, enforcement, legislative, and transactional matters.
Client Details
Our client is a prominent law firm with a large, well‑established Financial Services practice advising U.S. and international financial institutions and fintech clients. The team provides comprehensive regulatory, litigation, legislative, and transactional services, handling complex regulatory issues, investigations, administrative enforcement actions, and legislative matters across the financial services industry.
Description
- Provide legal advice and support on financial services regulations and compliance matters.
- Conduct research and analysis on complex legal issues within the financial services industry.
- Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents and agreements related to financial services.
- Collaborate with clients to address legal concerns and develop effective strategies.
- Stay updated on changes in financial regulations and advise clients accordingly.
- Support senior attorneys in litigation and dispute resolution processes, as needed.
- Maintain strong client relationships and ensure high-quality legal services.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance expertise in financial services law.

Profile
A successful candidate should have:
- A Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
- Bar admission and authorization to practice law in the District of Columbia.
- Experience and continued interest in bank regulatory, AML, consumer protection, fintech, or cryptocurrency matters.
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently, creatively, and as part of a team.
- Excellent academic credentials and references.
- Experience representing clients before or working at federal or state banking agencies preferred.
Job Offer
