Quality Manager - Aerospace | New Berlin, WI
Our client is looking for an experienced leader to oversee their Quality department, acting as a strategic partner to executive leadership and working closely with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of Aerospace standards, especially AS9100, and a proven ability to drive operational objectives, manage key performance indicators, and uphold the highest standards of quality.

Description
- Develop, implement, and maintain robust quality management systems (QMS) in alignment with AS9100 standards, ensuring compliance with aerospace industry requirements
- Lead and manage internal and external audits (including AS9100 and customer audits), ensuring the company meets all regulatory and certification standards.
- Oversee the identification and resolution of non-conformances, utilizing root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) processes to prevent recurrence.
- Ensure continuous improvement initiatives are in place to optimize processes, reduce waste, and enhance the overall quality of machining operations, particularly in the context of aerospace production standards.
- Coordinate with engineering and production teams to review and approve production processes, ensuring that all specifications, tolerances, and quality standards are adhered to.
- Maintain comprehensive records and reports, including inspection and test plans (ITPs), certificates of conformance (COCs), and first article inspection reports (FAIRs), in compliance with AS9100 and customer requirements.
- Drive supplier quality management, including evaluating and auditing suppliers, ensuring that sourced components meet required aerospace standards.
- Lead the quality team in the development and execution of training programs to ensure personnel are knowledgeable about industry-specific quality standards, such as AS9100, FAA regulations, and other aerospace certifications.
- Stay up to date with the latest aerospace industry trends, regulatory changes, and AS9100 revisions, ensuring the company's practices remain compliant and competitive.

Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality management role, with a focus on aerospace manufacturing and machining.
- In-depth knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, FAA regulations, and aerospace-specific quality standards.
- Experience in leading AS9100 audits, preparing for certifications, and managing customer audits.
- Strong background in root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean, or similar.
- Proficiency with quality management tools (e.g., SPC, FMEA, MSA, CAPA).
- Experience with first article inspections (FAIRs), inspection and test planning (ITPs), and creating certificates of conformance (COCs).
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills with the ability to manage a team and collaborate with cross-functional departments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to report to both internal stakeholders and aerospace customers.
