Senior Materials Planner
The Senior Material Planner plays an integral role in planning and monitoring inventory needs for all materials/components used in production. This role coordinates activities with the supply team, Suppliers, and Co-Manufacturers to support and help develop the operation of the supply chain plans. The Sr. Material Planner is responsible for monitoring Liquid MRP and ERP systems to plan materials effectively.

My client is a $1 billion a year health and wellness brand that has grown rapidly over the last decade selling into national and international retailers through out North America. My client offers a stunning, state of the art office that's occupied on a hybrid basis for all employees. This role requires a candidate to be local to the office near LAX and is able to work on-site 3-4x/week.
Description
- Materials Resource Management - review and manage supply of packaging materials across co-packer network by ensuring safety stock levels are maintained and orders arrive on time and in full.
- Collaborate with the Supply Planning team to develop and execute weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual material plans for assigned materials.
- Conduct supply/demand reviews with Supply Planners and Suppliers to monitor and manage overall demand/supply status.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure cost updates are accurately reflected and maintained in SharePoint.
- Evaluate the performance of assigned suppliers, tracking and maintaining KPI's to identify opportunities for operational improvements that align with demand and growth strategies. Proactively implement corrective action plans as needed to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Material Ordering - communicate forecasted requirements to suppliers and manage orders to ensure timely support of production needs.
- Maintain regular weekly communication with suppliers to ensure on time delivery, accuracy of data, and adherence to ordering parameters for assigned materials.
- Inventory Control - Monitor incoming materials, process systematic receipts, manage stock status, and oversee material transfers.
- Identify inventory discrepancies and collaborate with Co-manufactures and Suppliers to improve inventory management systems.
- Assist the International and Innovation teams with packaging material-related matters as required.
- Ad hoc analysis and reporting.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Profile
- Bachelors Degree
- 3+ years materials planning experience required
- CPG industry experience desired
- Minimum 2 years of leadership/management experience
- Local to the office near LAX in Los Angeles - must be willing to work onsite 3-4x/week
