The Senior Program Manager is a high-impact leader responsible for managing complex, multi-site programs involving advanced technologies and cross-functional collaboration. Reporting to the Director of the Program Management Office, this role drives the implementation of new products, oversees facility expansions, and leads technology transfer initiatives across the organization. Description
Responsibilities:
- Directs cross-functional teams through dotted-line leadership to achieve program milestones, ensuring alignment of resources and priorities across departments.
- Collaborates with internal engineering teams, SMEs, and external partners to define scope, build project plans, allocate resources, and manage budgets, timelines, and risks.
- Maintains regular communication with stakeholders through clear, data-driven progress reports, highlighting key achievements and upcoming deliverables.
- Identifies and addresses project risks and roadblocks proactively, coordinating with responsible parties to drive resolution and keep initiatives on track.
- Escalates critical issues related to timing, support, or resourcing to leadership promptly to avoid delays or disruption to program execution.
- Oversees full program execution, holding accountability for project cost, quality, performance, and timeline targets while adapting to evolving priorities.
- Manages documentation, meeting records, and key communications to ensure visibility, traceability, and alignment across all project phases.
- Supports continuous improvement by applying problem-solving tools and recommending process enhancements or technology upgrades to optimize program outcomes.
Profile
Ideal Candidate:
- Holds a bachelor's degree in engineering or a closely related technical field.
- Brings at least 8 years of experience steering complex technical programs, with demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams in operational settings.
- Proven track record managing matrixed teams, particularly focused on design transfers, product launches, and multi-site line transitions.
- Skilled user of project management software (such as MS Project and PowerPoint) with strong analytical capabilities to navigate complex challenges.
- Excellent communicator, adept at aligning stakeholder expectations and delivering clear, concise updates.
- Effective negotiator and influencer, capable of driving results even without direct authority over all resources.
- Strong leadership presence, fostering teamwork and collaboration across diverse groups and stakeholders.
- Experienced in conflict management and resolution, able to mediate and guide teams through challenges.
- Confident presenter with experience briefing senior leaders and executives, tailoring messages to engage audiences at all organizational levels.
