Our Manufacturing client is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead and oversee all quality functions within a defense manufacturing environment. This role will ensure compliance with stringent industry standards and customer requirements by managing both Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities. Description
The Quality Manager - Defense Manufacturing will be responsible for the following:
- Develop, implement, and maintain the company's Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, and defense industry standards.
- Oversee Quality Assurance activities, including audits, documentation control, and supplier quality management.
- Manage Quality Control operations, including inspection processes, testing protocols, and acceptance criteria for incoming, in-process, and final products.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action initiatives to resolve quality issues.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to ensure quality requirements are met throughout the product lifecycle.
- Prepare and present quality metrics and reports to senior leadership and customers.
- Train and mentor quality personnel to maintain high standards of performance and compliance.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer and regulatory audits.

Profile
The ideal Quality Manager - Defense Manufacturing will have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in quality management within defense, aerospace, or precision manufacturing industries.
- Strong knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, and MIL standards.
- Experience managing both QA and QC functions in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies (FMEA, SPC, Root Cause Analysis, PPAP).
- ASQ certifications (CQE, CQM/OE).
- Familiarity with NADCAP and special process audits.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems and quality management software.
