Territory Manager - AGV/Factory Automation
This role is responsible for driving North American market expansion for autonomous mobile robots and AGVs by developing strategic sales plans, building channel partnerships, and identifying high-value enterprise customers. The position manages the full enterprise sales cycle, working closely with operations leaders and engineers to design customized automation solutions and deliver consistent revenue growth.

A long‑established European manufacturer specializing in automated guided vehicles (AGVs) and mobile robotic transport systems. The company has operated since the 1990s and is known for high‑customization engineering, building tailored autonomous vehicles for demanding industrial environments.
It produces indoor and outdoor AGVs, heavy‑capacity transport units, fork‑based and narrow‑aisle vehicles, and specialized shuttles for integration with production lines and warehouses. It has deployed hundreds of AGVs globally and was acquired by a large U.S. industrial technology group in 2022.
Description
Market Expansion & Strategy:
- Develop and implement a North American go-to-market strategy, identifying priority regions, high-value industries, and key customer segments for autonomous material-handling solutions. Evaluate customer operational challenges and align them with tailored robotic technologies.
Enterprise Sales Leadership:
- Manage complex B2B sales processes from early discovery through solution development, proposal creation, negotiation, and contract close. Build strong, long-term relationships with enterprise customers while navigating multi-stakeholder purchasing environments.
Channel & Partner Development:
- Establish and grow a network of integrators, distributors, and strategic partners to expand market reach. Represent the company at key automation and robotics conferences, trade shows, and industry events across North America.
Customer Engagement:
- Conduct on-site consultations with operations leaders, engineers, and executives to evaluate facility workflows and recommend customized autonomous vehicle implementations.
Revenue Ownership:
- Partner with senior leadership to define ambitious revenue targets and consistently exceed sales performance goals.
Profile
5+ years of experience selling AGVs, AMRs, industrial automation, or other capital equipment solutions
Strong technical background, ideally in mechatronics, robotics, industrial engineering, or a related field
Proven track record of exceeding sales quotas in complex B2B environments
Deep understanding of U.S. enterprise purchasing processes and long sales cycles
Willingness to travel extensively across the United States to meet with customers on-site
